Happy Valentines Day!

Oh poop! I haven’t posted here in quite awhile!

The last few months have been really hectic. I had to do a lot of work to do for some conventions. Mostly, getting a lot of paperwork and processing done. Then after that, attending the conventions and doing the work there. After that, doing the website for another convention (which took a great deal of time). I also had the stomach flu at the end of December, then a flu, and then just about a week ago, I came down with a bad sinus infection. UGH. I never get sick, so I guess my body was making up for being healthy the last few years. After being on some antibiotics, things have calmed down a bit (for now) and I’m trying to play catch up!

Also! We finally got our wedding plans organized! We’re getting married on May 20th. We’ll be getting married by the Mayor, and then having a reception (or more like a party/get-together) afterwards with extended family and our friends. We’re looking at food options now. It’s either going to be pizza and chicken, or some delicious BBQ (where we are going to eat tonight for Valentines day).

I also finally decided on a dress. It’s a really cute tea-length 50′s style swing dress with a sweet-heart top and ruffles! It was only $120! I’m wearing a bright green crinoline skirt underneath and wearing a birdcage veil with a feather fascinator. I’m also going to make a cute flower and organza belt to to around the dress. Lastly, I’m in the process of finding shoes. But finding blue pumps without huge heels and super-pointy toes within my strict budget is proving to be difficult. I always come across super-cute ones in the right color, but they have 4″ heels, and NO WAY!

But anyway, I’m pretty excited! :D

Merry Christmas!

So our plans for Christmas were put off because Mark’s dad got the stomach flu on Thursday, or whatever that nasty bug that’s been going around is. We were originally going to his parent’s having a little gift exchange and yummy finger foods, then on Christmas going over there again for dinner. Instead, we went to a friends to play board games, and today we visited his grandmother and drove around aimlessly looking for something open that had food. Sheetz (gas station) was it. Though the chicken sammich I had was delish, so I wasn’t too disappointed.

Tomorrow, I’m going to my parent’s and then we’re going over to his parent’s for belated Christmas dinner.

Mark got Harry Potter legos from me. He got me the Serah Farron figure that just came out! But I am dissapoint that it doesn’t come with a stand and won’t stand up properly. But oh well, It’s very pretty and has been added to my collection of figure awesomeness!

His parents and sister got us stuff, so we’ll open that tomorrow! My parents also got us a giftcard for Applebees. So yay, we can go out to eat somewhere that’s not fast food! I don’t know or think they have anything else for us. His parents also contributed some money toward our new dining room table. Boo on adult things! But I do like our table!

Though since everyone in close proximity has gotten that nasty bug, I’m hoping that if I get it, it’s this week and NOT the week after. I’m going to a convention where I’m a department head, so I really CAN’T miss it. I gotta drag out the sewing machine soon too and get working on my costumes! I’m going to try to finish up two, one should be pretty simple and the other is almost done.
