Oh hello Valkyrie! I didn’t forget about you. I actually renewed the domain. My wallet weeps. ;_;

So what’s new with me? I got married! There will be some pictures under the “more” below. :D

I’ve not done much in the realm of webdesign other than working on convention websites and fiddling with blogs here and there. I want to go over my old sites and tweak them some more. But I’d like to replay the games first.

I’m working my butt off. The mean crappy manager I had at work was fired for being a mean and crappy manager. We got this amazing awesome lady who bought us goodies and made our lives amazing for 6 weeks. But now we have another manager who will be permanent. He’s a nice guy to work with.

We’re considering moving to North Carolina in a few months. I need to see if I can transfer. I still have more stores to call.

Oh, we had a very crazy neighbor who insisted that we are up at 4 am screaming and fighting. Telling the police that my husband is abusing me and I’m outside crying. The police have been to our apartment twice, we filed a counter report. It’s dealt with. She’s also moving (huge truck outside today being loaded up). So… that’s the end of that I suppose!

Other than that, I’m collecting more ponies! I’m considering putting up a My Little Pony blog/site with my collection. :D Trying to decide which domain to host it on. Here or on another? I’m not sure!

Some wedding pictures below!

Sorry for not updating here lately. Life has been pretty hectic! Namely with the wedding stuff coming up (Next Friday! OMG!). Also, work has been keeping me very occupied. I’m being promoted to assistant manager and I’m currently going through training. It’s going pretty well, and I’m enjoying it. But I know I’m going to sorely miss my short day shifts. It’s not that I don’t like working or being busy, but I liked being able to come home and focus my attention to various other areas. Not happening as much right now. XD

I’ve recently gotten back into My Little Pony. It was my childhood obsession during the 80′s. I had so many toys and watched the cartoon religiously. Due to the popularity of the new series (Friendship is Magic) within the various circles I’m associated with, I found myself getting back into it. I started taking up collecting some of my favorite old ponies from childhood, along with a few of the new toys. I’m more fond of the older ones, naturally for the nostalgia factor. However, the new series has really made it fun and enjoyable! I can’t say much for the 3rd generation during the last decade or so… I never got into collecting those ponies although I wanted to.

Anyway, here’s a lovely picture of my latest addition, Parasol from year 2, and Rainbow Dash. :)

Gusty was my favorite pony out of my childhood collection, so of course she was the first I bought. I also have a large collection at home obtained from a friend about 10 years ago. I’ll be getting those soon. I can’t wait to add them to the collection! :D

Wedding is getting closer!

I have a hard time remembering to blog here. Whoops!

So what’s new here? Still making wedding plans. Just about two months away. Got my invites designed and printed by Vistaprint but I’m being lazy and I don’t feel like addressing them. Too much work. *procrastinates* We’ve got a photographer, yay! I’ve got almost all my wedding attire done. Just need some smexy underoos and probably one of those long line bra thinguses (and losing an extra 10lbs or so, and drag out my weights to tone up my arms.)

I’ve decided that I’m going to do my own makeup. I ordered a relatively inexpensive eyeshadow set from Sephora that had some good reviews. I don’t wear makeup a lot, so I wanted something I could use on a day to day basis as blue and green aren’t my usual colors. I also wanted something that’s long lasting and doesn’t all disappear into my creases after an hour. Plus it came with eyeliner and primer. The colors in this set are more what I wanted. But the reviews made me think otherwise. I’ve gotten fairly good with doing my own makeup with practice so I’m pretty confident I can do it. :)

We got Mark’s ring today! Just a simple white gold band. He’s not fond of jewelry and just wanted something simple to wear. I told him that if I can afford a nicer ring later, I’ll buy one for him. But I really couldn’t afford it now. :(

I’m trying to get back into drawing more. After I take a long break from doing anything artistic, I always feel frustrated with my work and I can’t seem to get anywhere. I still strongly desire to do more comic work, but I find it to be an uphill battle. I’ve been messing around with Paint Tool SAI and I really like how the color blending/shading/lineart works in the program as opposed to Photoshop or Painter. It just makes it a bit faster, and less playing around with settings. So I may turn to that. But I find sketching in Photoshop is faster for me for a lot of reasons.

Also getting trained on more stuff at work. Though unfortunately it means losing my weekends. :( I definitely need the money, so I can’t really complain. I just like my lazy weekends! But if things get unbearable there, Mark’s dad is also training me to solder pewter. I get to play with fire! Muahaha. So maybe after the wedding I’ll just go over there for the time being. Better working with family than feeling like a slave to a register and crazy customers. :P

I’ve been working more on wedding stuff lately. It’s hard to believe I’ll be an old married woman in just a few short months. Although I know it’s not going to feel any different than it does now, but I guess I’ll feel more obligated to do housework. lol. Yeah right.

I need to get my wedding artwork/design done and make the wedding invitations and wedding website. I guess that’ll be my project for the next week. I’m just going to make my own site instead of using some of the existing wedsite places out there. I just don’t like any of the designs.

I got materials to make my little sash/belt thingie to break up the white on the dress and help it match the shoes/fascinator. I’m using this tutorial for a big green flower. Then the sash is made of some turquoise sheer fabric. I’ll be adding some little beaded designs on the bottom of that and some cute little green lacy ribbon at the very edge. It’ll be super cute!

In other news, Mark got a new car! He’s been wanting a bright green car for a long time! Since his lease was almost up on his old car, he got this one. I’m not much of a car person, but bright green is really cool and stands out. You know, everyone with silver, black, dark blue, maybe a red… BRIGHT GREEN! :D

Happy Valentines Day!

Oh poop! I haven’t posted here in quite awhile!

The last few months have been really hectic. I had to do a lot of work to do for some conventions. Mostly, getting a lot of paperwork and processing done. Then after that, attending the conventions and doing the work there. After that, doing the website for another convention (which took a great deal of time). I also had the stomach flu at the end of December, then a flu, and then just about a week ago, I came down with a bad sinus infection. UGH. I never get sick, so I guess my body was making up for being healthy the last few years. After being on some antibiotics, things have calmed down a bit (for now) and I’m trying to play catch up!

Also! We finally got our wedding plans organized! We’re getting married on May 20th. We’ll be getting married by the Mayor, and then having a reception (or more like a party/get-together) afterwards with extended family and our friends. We’re looking at food options now. It’s either going to be pizza and chicken, or some delicious BBQ (where we are going to eat tonight for Valentines day).

I also finally decided on a dress. It’s a really cute tea-length 50′s style swing dress with a sweet-heart top and ruffles! It was only $120! I’m wearing a bright green crinoline skirt underneath and wearing a birdcage veil with a feather fascinator. I’m also going to make a cute flower and organza belt to to around the dress. Lastly, I’m in the process of finding shoes. But finding blue pumps without huge heels and super-pointy toes within my strict budget is proving to be difficult. I always come across super-cute ones in the right color, but they have 4″ heels, and NO WAY!

But anyway, I’m pretty excited! :D
