A little more

Hobbies: Web design, graphic design, video games, cosplay, pixel art, Asian ball joint dolls, internets, and anime to an extent. I’m not really hard-core into it although I’m immersed in the fandom.

Likes: Sleeping in, naptime, drawing, designing, wasting time online, behbeh tiem (my phrase for lovey dovey cuddle time), chocolate, cats, sunny days, summertime, night time, going swimming, amusement parks, roller coasters, waterslides, bright, vibrant colors, peace and quiet.

Dislikes: Rude and/or ignorant people, txt talk, most customers, most drivers, being harassed by salespeople, people who cannot read, people on their cellphones especially while checking out.

Cuisine: Japanese, sushi containing cooked seafood only (crab, shrimp, and eel rolls), Italian, Mexican, Olive Garden, Chipoltle, Southern BBQ, chicken and shrimp dishes, ANYTHING chocolate, cheesecake, and just cheese in general.

Fandom

Videogames: Final Fantasy Series, Xenosaga, Suikoden series, Disgaea, Ace Attorney, and most RPGs actually.

Computer Games: The Sims, Sim City, and Rollercoaster Tycoon. I don’t play any MMO’s aside from Maple Story once in a great blue moon. I get too sucked in by computer games and never get anything done, so I try not to play them. Heaven forbid I get into WoW or something.

Animanga: Digi Charat, Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Wolf’s Rain, Onegai Teacher, Ranma 1/2. Lots of old stuff. I haven’t bothered to get into the newer series. I think it’s because the rabid fanpeople I run into at conventions that ruin everything for me.

Movies: The Lion King, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Mummy series, Indiana Jones, Amelie, X-Men, Avatar, Star Trek (Though I’m not a trekkie, I always enjoyed watching the movies with my dad when I was young, and my first date with my current boyfriend was the newest Star Trek Movie).  I really like action/adventure and sci-fi movies.

Favorites

Character: Rinoa Heartilly of Final Fantasy VIII is probably my ultimate favorite character of all time. I’m not sure what drew me to her initially, maybe the bright blue of her character design, her character, or her story. I guess I just associated myself with her in some way.  That said, I’ve obtained a huge collection of Rinoa figures. I’ve also obsessively pursued cosplaying her. Although I don’t look like her at all, I enjoyed dressing up as her. Sadly my old Rinoa costume is retired due to missing pieces and my wig being in shambles. Maybe one day, I’ll remake it for the fifth time.

Game: Final Fantasy VI was my first encounter with the Final Fantasy series and is really responsible for taking gaming beyond the Mario Brothers level for me. When I was barely a teenager in 1994, my cousin came over to visit my nephew bringing this game. I watched them play it. He left it with my nephew (who was living with us at the time). I started playing it and fell in love. I’d never experienced a game with so many interesting characters, such a deep story, and such beautiful music. For halloween that year, I tried to dress up as Terra. Nobody had a clue what I was wearing. In 9th grade, I rented the game and conveniently forgot about it, beat it like 20 times, until my dad finally got a bill for $70. Whoops. I still love the game to this day and age.

Movie: The Lion King was my obsession when I was about 12 and 13, along with Final Fantasy VI.  I had every Mattel plushie, every poster, I saw it in theaters a bazillion times. I also hoarded toys, cards, and all kinds of merchandise. Although I lost most of this collection, I still grab up anything unique with the characters I can find. I also bought the special edition DVD set, I’m just waiting for them to repackage the same stuff for blue-ray so I can mindlessly purchase that too.
